It goes from getting no new information about the great 50's and 60's to getting flooded in it and having to break the budget to get them all.
This is what is newly available now at the Starlite On-Line Shop
'Long Way till you drop' - Tony Barber the ex Aztec from the 60's, has a quirky and comical way of writing and his stories about the goings on behind the scenes of the 'Long Way to the top' tour are not to be missed. All who saw the show as well as others will be intrigued by what went on. A great easy read.
The Mayor's a Square - Shane Homan - An academic look at the live music scnee in Sydney from the early dance rea pre 50's right up to the pub rock scene of the 70's-80's.
The Big Shows - Alan Heffernan was Lee Gordon's right hand man and was the only one privy to all the business that went on with Lee and his big shows.Colour copies of 40 Big Show programs included with info about Lee and Sinatra and Elvis. The only TRUE account of Lee and the Stadium shows..
'Some days are Diamonds' -
Max Moore wrote this book about his many years firstly with Lee Gordon and Harry Miller and then with the Jacobsen Organisation. It tells of his friendship with John Denver and many other stars who came to Australia to perform.
Wayne Jackson-The Memphis Horns - An interesting story about the early Memphis recording days of Sun, Stax as well as days on the road with many Superstars. Wayne has been on more Gold records than any other horn player! Recently with Sting!

Lonnie Lee Volume 3 Now out!
Starlite Records has just released Volume 3 of Lonnie's Original Collection. It contains 33 tracks from some of his TV appaeraances 1959 to 1974. There is no CDRom with this one just the CD with booklet.

This year's Wintersun in is rememberance of 30 years since the passing over of Elvis. Fifty yeras ago in February 1957, Lonnie became Australia's first 'Australia's Elvis' when Elvis was hardly known here.

SYDNEY DATES CONFIRMED

Some dates have been confirned at some of Sydney's biggest and better clubs for the mid and later part of 2007. These will coincide with his new show and new CD 'Northwest Mail'. See here for venues and dates.
